A number of actors and actresses of Bollywood have been hounded in their time by the paparazzi. The latest addition to the list of victims is Katrina Kaif. As Katrina was holidaying in Spain with Ranbir, her bikini clad picture was snapped which created a furor in the Indian media. Though the pair had steadfastly denied that they are dating, the pictures which appeared on the cover of Stardust said otherwise. The couple was snapped while getting cozy in Ibizza, Spain in their beachwear.
The actress was reported to be very upset with the pictures. Since she has already appeared in Boom and Cosmo in a bikini, you may wonder why she has developed sudden objection to the swimwear. But it seems she did not take kindly to being photographed in a private moment. The result is that the actress has decided to go for a strict no bikini rule both in private and public life.
A source close to Katrina said, “She blames herself entirely for what happened. She feels she should not have worn a bikini on a crowded beach. The minute she saw Indians on the beach she regretted being so relaxed and casual even if on a private holiday.”
The friend further said, “Shorts and a top. That will be her mandatory beachwear from now on. This experience has taught Katrina never to let her guard down.”
The photos triggered a major controversy when Katrina wrote an open letter to the press where she questioned the journalistic ethics that allowed someone to snap her during a very private moment and others to make that photograph public. "I am writing this to say that I feel most upset, distressed and invaded at my pictures published in a film magazine (and which were carried by other media). The pictures were taken while I was on holiday by someone who, in an act of cowardice, has shot without permission and then used the pictures for commercial gain," she wrote.
She is so upset with the entire event that she has decided to enter a no bikini clause in all her contracts. So, you will not be able to see the bikini clad figure of Katrina on screen as well. She is not wearing a bikini in her upcoming film Dhoom 3.
Producer Aditya Chopra had tried to persuade the actress to wear bikini on screen, but matters turned out otherwise. “But Katrina persuaded Adi to drop the idea. They worked out a compromise that suited both of them. Post the leaked pictures of hers in Ibiza she is unlikely to get into a bikini no matter what the prompting,” said the source.
